Proxmark3 v4.21128 "Permafrost" Released

Version 4.21128, nicknamed “Permafrost”, of the Iceman fork of the Proxmark3 is released. The headline theme is full MIFARE Ultralight AES support across the client, alongside a consolidated key generation command, expanded SEOS tooling, and quality-of-life additions for Proxmark 3, RDV4 and iCopy-X users.

Highlights

  • Ultralight AES support was added throughout hf mfu info/rdbl/wrbl/dump/ndefread/wipe/setkey, covering both UL-AES authentication and secure messaging, plus basic DataProtKey emulation and hf 14a raw secure messaging.
  • New standalone mode HF_DOEGOX_AUTH0 acts as a UL-C / UL-AES unlocker, letting the device crack these tags without a host.
  • hf mf bambukeys was replaced by a unified hf mf keygen command with multiple KDFs, including a new Snapmaker U1 filament spool KDF, so vendor key derivation lives in one place.
  • New hf seos write and hf seos sim commands enable writing and simulating SEOS credentials; SEOS ADF/PACS handling was also fixed for cards with different diversifier lengths and ADF OIDs.
  • New data qrcode command generates QR codes directly inside the client, and NDEF/Open print tag records are now identified.
  • ATR fingerprinting was added to hf 14a/hf 14b info, improving smartcard identification.
  • Added support for importing Bruce dump files (.rfid) and the Verkada 40-bit and Kaba evolo formats, broadening interoperability.
  • hf 14b config was added with polling-loop annotation support, along with better ECP configuration aliases.
